Affiliation - The Keyhole (Kingdom Hearts Wiki)

Hello there! My name is Aixon, and I am a staff member at The Keyhole, which is currently titled as the Kingdom Hearts Fansite Wiki. The Kingdom Hearts Wiki encyclopedia split from our site some years back, and since then we have continued to function as a separate wiki, with friendly ties to the official site. (We co-run the Twilight Times Kingdom Hearts wiki magazine with them, in order to maintain ties with them.) Recently, we have decided to undertake a project to transform our wiki from its "fan site" status to a somewhat simplified form of the main encyclopedia site. This new look will not completely change the wiki, but will instead allow us to store more information related to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, as opposed to storing much of the information in "list" articles.

In accordance with this imminent change, we have decided to update our affiliations list. The Spyro wiki has an icon, and is linked to on our main page, however we are aware that it no longer links back to our site. My reason for approaching you today is to ask your wiki to consider re-affiliating with our site. We are a serious site, and are working to make our wiki even more accessible to readers and users alike. I would be very willing to communicate with you about this, should you require clarification about anything which I have stated. I will ensure that I check your talk page here regularly so that I do not miss any reply which you might make.

Thank you very much for your time, and I shall look forward to hearing from you soon. Aixon 16:30, December 27, 2015 (UTC)

We will happily reaffliate with your wikia, Aixon. :) -- Aura24 (talk) 21:58, December 27, 2015 (UTC)

Hello again! Thank you for getting back to me, Aura24. I will be in contact with you in the next few days with our site's affiliation icon for you to display. Your icon is already displayed on our main page, so you don't need to worry about providing one yourself. I will be in touch soon! Aixon 16:01, December 28, 2015 (UTC)

I see that you don't normally have icons to represent your affiliates. As such, I think this matter can be concluded. As long as you are able to add The Keyhole to your affiliates page, then we are set! I'll check in on this page during the next few days, just in case you have anything to add, but otherwise thank you for re-affiliating with us! Aixon 12:57, December 31, 2015 (UTC)

Kyurem147's Proposal

Hi Aura24. I'm here deliver because of Kyurem147's request to create pages of 5 evil items from the Spyro games.

Kyurem147 wrote: Hello I've heard you're expert on Spyro games. Well I wanted that if we should make pages of evil items from the Spyro games on evil wiki.

The evil Spyro items he speaks of are: Gnasty Gnorc's Staff, Ripto's Sceptre, The Sorceress' Wand, Red's Sceptre, & The Sorcerer's Scepter. He though of this idea after he saw my recent uploaded pictures. - Best regards B1bl1kal Don't cha judge me! 16:35, December 29, 2015 (UTC)

You may, there aren't any articles on the villain weapons here. -- Aura24 (talk)

Adding you now! Raylan13@fandom (talk) 16:30, February 20, 2016 (UTC)

Hey, I sorta have a proposal

Juuuuust wondering if you'd like to help out with the Legend of Spyro Wiki? Obvioiusly it's only in it's early stages, and I wanted to ask you because you are flipping amazing with this stuff bro. Seriously!

But I completely understand if you don't want to help!! Just wanted to ask lol.

Thanks!! ^^

Hi Aura!

Hi Aura! I am messaging you out of nowhere again with a random question, has the profile banner for users seem a little off as of late? Mine's just random coding.

I broke my profile again lol.

To be honest, I don't know where to edit that. It may be due to Wikia's sudden changes to profiles, I don't know. -- Aura24 (talk) 06:34, March 2, 2016 (UTC)
Nevermind, I found it. -- Aura24 (talk) 07:41, March 2, 2016 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks Aura! Mighty Moose / Still fighting, still chatting. 20:46, March 18, 2016 (UTC)

What's up?

What's up?

Hi. Okay, I'll remember that. I only moved the images below because of something that went wrong. But I'll remember that. And I'll try to avoid blurry pictures too. --DCLM (talk) 17:53, April 10, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Message

Hi. I'm not sure I quite understood what you meant with that. If you could tell me exactly what I did, then I could perhaps avoid it in the future. Thank you. :) --DCLM (talk) 22:49, April 14, 2016 (UTC)

I am looking VERY carefully through Shadow Legacy and doing everything I can to make it like it is given in the game. If you are talking about "Mrs. Moneybags", I didn't know this Wikia used terms like "Mr." and "Mrs." --DCLM (talk) 23:01, April 14, 2016 (UTC)
Yes we do use Mr. and Mrs. here. -- Aura24 (talk) 23:07, April 14, 2016 (UTC)
I just thought that because I've visited other Wikia's that didn't use titles on page names, and I thought that was just Wikia-standard then. In that case "Ronny Funderlic's wife" need to be changed to "Mrs. Funderlic" too. Sorry about the misunderstanding. --DCLM (talk) 23:14, April 14, 2016 (UTC)
Don't worry, I already added their last names. --DCLM (talk) 23:42, April 14, 2016 (UTC)
But in all fairness, their respective Miniporiums does add their last names. --DCLM (talk) 23:48, April 14, 2016 (UTC)
So... am I right when I say the character's page must be called (for example) "Merton" while his shop's page must say "Merton Moneybags' Miniporium"? :) --DCLM (talk) 00:01, April 15, 2016 (UTC)
Okay. I'll do that. --DCLM (talk) 00:09, April 15, 2016 (UTC)

Break time

That's okay. :) I was just trying to get everything worth mentioning onto the Wikia. How long do you want me to take (just want to know, so I won't do anything wrong). :) --DCLM (talk) 17:58, May 9, 2016 (UTC)

2 or 3 days. And... you don't have to add every single detail pff. -- Aura24 (talk) 18:21, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
Okay, I'll do that. :) I wasn't adding every single detail, just what could be worth having. If something is not added once in a while, the Wikia won't improve (just trying to help). I hope it doesn't anger you. --DCLM (talk) 18:28, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
Oh, I'm not angry. Just confused. I mean, the lawyer and grandmother article got me confused. They were only mentioned once. And it occured to me, maybe you were trying to add every single name, detail and content from the game itself. -- Aura24 (talk) 18:31, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
Oh, no no no... I was just thinking the lawyer was just a quick "why not"-thought. If it is decided at some point to not be of any use it's fine, but the grandmother I thought could be used on here as she was at least notable for having taught Kaitlin the egg-trick that she taught Spyro. --DCLM (talk) 18:37, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
Ooooh, I see! Yeah, that's no issue then. Just take a break for now, while we add the new articles and details into our other articles and existing templates. :) -- Aura24 (talk) 18:43, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
Will do. And thanks for taking care of it. I bet you're more experienced in this than me. --DCLM (talk) 18:57, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
Well, I'm not Lead Admin for nothing. Been editing on wikia for years. :) -- Aura24 (talk) 19:30, May 9, 2016 (UTC)

Would've The Legend of Spyro A New Beginning have better reviews if Aether was playable in all levels? Thoughts

Hey its me sorry it's been a long time since doing something now here is what I was wondering should have the Aether element used against Cynder be playable in all levels in The first legend of spyro game. Would've that given the game better reviews. Also the developers had more money if instead of the infinite health and magic was r eplaced with Aether element if you started from the beginning of the start of the game just like dark spyro, since it's the same element only a different side to it.

Aether and Convexity Breath ARE THE SAME THING. If you had read the article. It wouldn't have made a difference in reviews. -- Aura24 (talk) 10:31, May 21, 2016 (UTC)

who was Spyro's mother? Thoughts.

So this wasn't mentioned or shown but isn't it odd that Spyro's biological mother isn't revealed it feels like an All-orphanage series. You know the legend of Spyro series of course.

Why are you asking me this when I have absolutely no idea? -- Aura24 (talk) 16:14, May 21, 2016 (UTC)

Why did you undo my revision?

Hi. You undid my edits, and I just wanted to ask you why.

You undid a space I removed underneath a section. That space should be there, because a space under the header of a section is not present anywhere else in the article (nor on the wiki, I presume); therefore, the article nor this wiki is consistent.

I also inserted the names of the two first Spyro the Dragon games, instead of just having it say “the two first Spyro games.” If the reader does not know what the two first Spyro the Dragon games were, he or she would have links to click on, but you undid that.

I also removed “surprisingly,” because articles should be written in a neutral point of view. This means that articles should not contain words such as “fortunately,” “unfortunately,” “surprisingly,” “obviously,” etc. I.e., articles should not contain opinions but rather facts.

I also fixed a link, by changing [ Sonic the Hedgehog] to [w:c:sonic:Sonic the Hedgehog (character)|Sonic the Hedgehog]]. You see, Wikia has a few built-in features which allow you to do things like:

  • Use the article name instead of a URL for links to articles on the same wiki.
  • Use [[wikipedia:article name]] instead of the URL for links to Wikipedia articles.
  • Use [[w:c:Wikia wiki name:article name]] instead of the URL for links to articles on another Wikia wiki.
  • Use [[w:article name]] for links to the Community wiki instead of using the URL or the [[w:c:wiki name:article name]] method.
And more.

You undid that change and went back to using the URL, which is confusing. Wikis do not need to do that, nor should they.

I also replaced “His” with “Spyro's” to make the text more clear and direct, and I added a link to the band mentioned in the text, but you undid that as well.

I also added a link to Crash Bandicoot, fixed a link in the same manner as I did before (with the Sonic the Hedgehog article on the Sonic the Hedgehog wiki), as mentioned above, and I added a comma, which is necessary in that sentence.

I also removed two spaces before the bullet point of a list, because they were not present anywhere else in the article. Again, I did so to make the article more consistent, as articles should never be different within themselves.

I also changed “Even though Spyro is a reptile” to “Despite Spyro being a reptile,” because that is more formal.

I also replaced “This version of Spyro” with “Spyro,” because the article (Spyro the Dragon (character)) talks about Spyro in all games, so “This version of Spyro” makes no sense. Maybe the text meant the Skylanders version of Spyro?

I also fixed a link in the same manner as I did twice before, as mentioned twice above.

Lastly, I added “series” after “the Skylanders.” The reason why I did that is because “the Skylanders series” makes sense, but “the Skylanders” does not.

As you can see, I clearly improved upon the article and fixed a few mistakes, but maybe you do not agree with some of the edits. Remember, you should include a reason or reasons as to why you undo someone’s edits, otherwise it is very confusing as to why you did that. Or you could have just left a message on my talk page (which you did not).

Could you please explain why you undid my edits? I could undo your edit, which undid my edits, but that would likely start an edit war, and that is not something which I would want to happen. Thank you.
PapíDimmi (talk) 04:08, June 24, 2016 (UTC)

I was merely correcting the character "Hot Dog" when you added it as "HOY Dog". I apologize if I undid your contributions to the article. Also, you did not have to write several hundred paragraphs just to ask why. -- Aura24 (talk) 04:12, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
I wrote all this information because I thought that you were clueless about my edits, and I just wanted to explain them for you. It appears that I was mistaken. The “Hoy Dog” edit was a mistake, obviously, but you must realize that you undid all my edits and not just that one edit. The undo button undoes the entire revision.
Anyway, it seems as though you have deleted my comment and its replies therewith in your blog post Skylanders Academy Set to Debut on Netflix.
In my comment, I explained how I did not like the idea of the TV series. You replied and told me how you disagree with me. I replied with some arguments to counter yours; e.g., about how they used Spyro as a selling point for the first Skylanders game and more.
Did you delete my comment? If so, why?
PapíDimmi (talk) 04:17, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
On this wikia, we don't support any type of negativity on Skylanders due to the large amount of hate we've been receiving since 2011. This wikia supports ALL Spyros, even Skylanders Spyro.
In your comment, you were forcing your opinion as fact, which is NOT. Not everything revolves around you and your childhood. Skylanders was successful, which is evidently backed up by the sales and the new target audience that adores it.
I removed your comment to stop you from derailing the discussion with negativity. As I have said to many other Spyro fans who simply bash the Skylander games with hate, if you don't like Skylanders Spyro and Skylanders, please keep your opinions constructive, keep your harsh negative opinions about Skylanders to yourself or go find another Spyro Wikia that only supports the classic and LoS Spyro. Your choice. :) -- Aura24 (talk) 04:33, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
My comment did include facts: Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure has nothing to do with Spyro the Dragon nor Spyro, except Spyro is a character therein. Spyro has nothing to do with the story; he is just a character in the game. They used this as a selling point to trick Spyro the Dragon fans into buying the game. They repeated this with in Skylanders: SuperChargers, in which Donkey Kong and Bowser (from the Mario franchise) are characters. However, they are very different from how they are in their actual games, including how they look, their attacks, etc. Donkey Kong and Bowser also have nothing to do with anything else in the game and are not important to the story or plotline in any way. The reason as to why they put Donkey Kong and Bowser in the game is so that more people would buy the game. These are not opinions but rather facts. Look at the plot of these games; do Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Spyro have anything to do with the games’s plots? No.
PapíDimmi (talk) 04:38, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
You are doing it again. It's your opinion, but you shouldn't try to force it as fact. You obviously never bothered reading the novels and story comics of the Skylanders franchise. Spyro has been given a lot of spotlight in those, including the upcoming Skylanders Academy. Again, make your choice now. -- Aura24 (talk) 04:44, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
He has been given a lot of spotlight in… novels and story comics? Sure, but he did not matter to the story in the actual game, nor does Donkey Kong and Bowser matter to the story in the game, and those are facts, not opinions. The Skylanders games are very different to the Spyro games, and I mean very different. They are not made by the same game developer who made any of the Spyro games, either. Same goes for Skylanders: SuperChargers and Donkey Kong and Bowser. They even put “Spyro” in the title of the first Skylanders games, when Spyro has nothing to do with the game. Do you see where I am coming from?
By the way, I think that deleting comments just because they include opinions which are different to yours is a bad thing to do. You should not censor people.
PapíDimmi (talk) 04:49, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
I am fully aware that Skylanders is unrelated to Spyro. And did you not read the reason why I deleted your comment in the first place? You keep avoiding my other question as well. I take it you prefer the third option? -- Aura24 (talk) 04:51, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
My opinion is that the Skylanders games, namely Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure and Skylanders: SuperChargers, are garbage. That is my opinion. Am I not allowed to have that?
The reasons why I think they are bad games are:
  • To unlock characters, levels, items, etc., and to keep on playing after you die, you have to purchase expensive figurines, which there are literally billions of (no joke).
  • They put Spyro in the game (who, by the way, looks, acts, and sounds completely different to how he did in previous Spyro games [I mean actual Spyro games]) just as a selling point. Spyro is completely unrelated to the game’s plot. They even put “Spyro’s Adventure” in the title. Why did they not put “Trigger Happy’s Adventure” in the title? I will tell you why: Money.
Regarding the SuperChargers game, they put gimmicky cars therein, because why not? Cars are fun, right? They also put… Bowser and Donkey Kong therein. Those two characters are from a completely different franchise, and Bowser and Donkey Kong are completely unrelated to the game, including its story, gameplay, etc. They look different, too. Why do you think they keep putting popular characters from popular video game franchises in their games? Money!
In the end, those are my opinions. I never said that they were facts, like you said that I said. The facts are that Spyro, Bowser, and Donkey Kong are completely unrelated to the plots of the games, but that is it. The rest is my opinions, and I do not think that you should delete opinions which you disagree with. I would understand your decision if I kept making comments bashing on the games, or if I vandalized the articles, or something, but I do not do that. I just left one comment.
PapíDimmi (talk) 05:03, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
Yes you are allowed to have your opinions. But not rub it in people's faces, post them in the articles and derail discussions, just because it's Skylanders.
Also in the upcoming Skylanders Imaginators game, Spyro is confirmed to have a story and NPC role in the game. Players can still play as him too. -- Aura24 (talk) 05:08, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
How am I rubbing my opinions in people’s faces?
Also, I was not talking about any of the new games. In Spyro’s Adventure, they used Spyro as a selling point, and in SuperChargers, they used Donkey Kong and Bowser as selling points. By the way, I did not derail discussions. I cannot quite remember what the comments said, but I did not say these things for no reason.
PapíDimmi (talk) 05:19, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
..... *sigh* Moving on. Have a good day. -- Aura24 (talk) 05:22, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
You, too.
PapíDimmi (talk) 05:23, June 24, 2016 (UTC)
I apologize if it seemed as though I forced my opinion upon you. I simply wanted to share my opinion on these games in one way or another; however, I will not again, as I have already.
PapíDimmi (talk) 00:25, June 25, 2016 (UTC)
I accept your apology. :) -- Aura24 (talk) 03:10, June 25, 2016 (UTC)

Hi Aura!

I saw you posted a bunch of Skylanders move pictures in their character pages. I was curious if you still had those on your HD and could possibly send me them? I'd love to be able to use them for my site without having to take the screenshots myself. Thank you so much!

Hello,I wanna help this wiki and upload pictures of some levels. But I dont want to bother you every time. So can you teach me how to upload a picture and replace the one in the infobox. Where are the proper instructions for this sort of thing? I want to change a picture for Dry Canyon, Cliff Town, Ice Cavern, Dr. Shemp, Night Flight and so on. I also posted this question last month and got no reply. I got no reply because I messed up while writing and sending this. I dont want to mess up this wonderful wiki with my amatier knowledgeFinestFantasyVI (talk) 15:20, September 16, 2016 (UTC)
