Gnasty Gnorc, an ugly Gnorc who was displeased by his own appearance, stole a lot of treasure that the dragons owned, but disgusted from seeing his reflection in the treasure, he turned it into ugly minions. Later after the Gnorc turned the dragons into crystal statues for insulting him during an interview, Spyro eventually came to the world of Dream Weavers on his quest to free the dragons again, and released the dragon Revilo in the level Jacques, who game the young dragon the advice that he had once heard himself.
