Scarlet Lizards are, as their name suggest, scarlet colored lizards that don't attack. They appear in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

In Ripto's Rage!, you get an orb after hitting all the lizards by spitting rocks at them in Glimmer. They later appear in Dragon Shores as part of a target game. Ten must be blasted with superflame in time to earn a token. Unlike the first two target groups before them, they can move more freely but they are still not very quick.

In Year of the Dragon, you get one dragon egg for flaming or running over all the Scarlet Lizards in the skateboarding area of Sunny Villa while on a skateboard and you get a second egg if you defeat all the lizards while on a skateboard within the time limit and without crashing.
