Root Runners are a new variety of Chompy Pods that spawn different kinds of Chompies. In the Wilikin Village, when the Root Runners are in the real world, they have the ability to use their roots to lift themselves up and walk around, living up to their name.

Trivia

• Root Runners first appeared in the Dragon's Peak area of the The Wingwarrens in the 3Ds version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. They possess the ability to shrink the Skylander using the spores they release.
• There is a Life element Skystone based on the Root Runner, with two barbs on the top and bottom, and one on the left and right side.
