Rhynocs are a common enemy in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, Spyro: Season of Ice, Spyro: Season of Flame and Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs.

StoryEdit

Spyro: Year of the DragonEdit

The Sorceress found a way to employ the Rhynocs (as well as other creatures), much like how Gnasty Gnorc did. She made the Rhynocs her main attack forces and used them to fight off Spyro and to capture all the dragon eggs. Bianca also warned Spyro that the Rhynocs could attack him as well as calling them "expertly trained armies" when she tried to scare him off. The artificial creatures were semi-immortal, as they can live forever as the same soul, though if they die, the Sorceress must bring them back and her only. Chances are that genuine Rhynocs lived in the Forgotten Worlds before the fake ones (Gnorcs).

Season of IceEdit

After the Sorceress's defeat, the Rhynocs discovered that they had no sole purpose, even when they served her. They were soon employed by Grendor, who gave them new life by giving back their crystals; as long as they give him fairies they have frozen to give him more power and to fight off Spyro.

Season of Flame and Attack of the RhynocsEdit

After Grendor's defeat, the Rhynocs once again felt unneeded and useless, until they were employed by Ripto. Ripto controlled the Rhynocs when not using his army of Riptocs during the events of the Season of Flame, and after stealing the Professor's Laboratory in Attack of the Rhynocs. Rhynocs have not been seen since.

• While pronouncing the word "Rhynocs", it'll sound like the name of a Beast Wars character, Rhinox.
