The Mammoth is a possible resident in the Icy Wilderness who only appeared in Spyro: A Hero's Tail. He was employed by Red to capture Spyro. Despite the fact that he captures Spyro, Sparx manages to escape and warn Hunter, who then ventures into Gloomy Glacier to free Spyro inside the Ice Citadel.
The Mammoth is only encountered once and does not make an appearance as a boss nor appears anywhere else in the game afterwards.
