Machine Ghost is a supporting character in Skylanders: Giants. He is a ghost who inhabits the body of a blue Arkeyan War Machine.

StoryEdit

Ermit tried to build a giant robot for years, but was unsuccessful. He eventually won a blue Arkeyan War Machine in a Skystones game with Freebot 002^[1], but when he thought the robot was haunted because of the Machine Ghost, Ermit left the robot in the cold wastelands of Glacier Gully. There, Machine Ghost was separated from his body, and the Ice Ogres thought his robot body was their 'Great Evil Ice Master 'and praised it.

After years of loneliness, the Machine Ghost was encountered by the Skylander, who came to Glacier Gully to find Ermit's robot that was needed in order to open the Secret Vault of Secrets. They soon helped Machine Ghost in returning him to his robot body. Grateful for their help, the Machine Ghost agreed to help the Skylander get to the Secret Vault of Secrets. However, Kaos and the Arkeyan Conquertron appeared and broke off a portion of the mountain, sending an avalanche of rocks towards the Skylander. The Machine Ghost sacrificed himself by quickly shielding the Skylander from the falling rocks using his robot body, sustaining heavy damage in the process. Before he was put out of commission, Machine Ghost told the Skylander on where Kaos was planning to go next after overhearing the evil Portal Master inside the vault.

Sometime afterwards, Ermit repaired Machine Ghost, and they both helped the Skylander in their battle against Kaos in his Arkeyan robot form. It is unknown what happened to Machine Ghost after Kaos was defeated.

TriviaEdit

• If you level up while Machine Ghost is following you, he will say level up instead of the standard level up voice that is heard.
• Unlike most other ghosts in Skylanders, Machine Ghost has a gear attached to his chest.
• It is possible that Machine Ghost is not normal ghost, or a deceased entity's soul, but rather some sort of phantom/spirit that must inhabit technology.
