Background
Biography
Hot Head had always been a short tempered fire giant. But it was when magical oil was discovered in Skylands that fuel was really added to the fire. As exciting as the discovery was, the celebration lasted only 5 minutes - coming to an abrupt halt when Hot Head needed to cool off and plunged into the thick black pool, causing the entire island to explode! Though it would be another 2,000 years before magical oil was discovered again, the impact that it had on Hot Head was immediate. He was instantly infused with magical oil, giving him the ability to generate an infinite supply of fuel - making him incredibly volatile, highly combustible, and ready to torch anything that got in his way.
Story
History
The giant Hot Head was giant in stature, and short in temper. His name is even appropriate for a Skylander whose skull is constantly ablaze. He was the first Skylander to ever come across magical oil. Unfortunately, he decided to take a bath in it, resulting in a gigantic explosion. It was during this cataclysmal blast that Hot Head is believed to have first uttered his catchphrase, "Hey! I'm on fire!" ....although rumors suggest the original version was: "Aaaarg, help! Someone find a hose, quick!" He immediately discovered that he was instantly infused with the magical oil, allowing him to generate a never-ending supply of fuel that would aid him and the Giants against anything that stood in their way.[1]
Hot Head, along with the other Giants, participated in the fight against the Arkeyans for the freedom of Skylands. To truly stop their tyrannical foe, the Giants confronted the Arkeyan King himself and his army of War Machines. Although the Giants were victorious in their battle against the Arkeyans, and ended their reign of terror, the Iron Fist of Arkus used the last of its remaining powers to sweep all eight Giants from Skylands and banished them to Earth, where they would remain for 10,000 years.
Abilities
Hot Head can fire both flames and blobs of oil from his hands. He can also summon rain-like drops of fire from the sky.

Trivia
- Hot Head's elemental symbol is on his back.
- He is the only wave 2 (not to be confused with Series 2) Skylander (specifically Giant) to be released before its release date.
- It is unknown if Hot Head can close his fingers. He can however move them in Skylanders: Lost Islands during his info.
- He is the only Giant who does not have thumbs.
- When placed on the Portal of Power, his head lights up as if it were on fire (though it is).
- It is unknown why the flames coming out of Hot Head's hands don't light up when placed on the Portal of Power.
- He is the only Fire Skylander that has a transportation other than walking/running (possible with Soul Gem Ability).
- So far, he and Ninjini has the highest amount of critical hit while leaving Hot Dog with the second highest.
- In the UK version of the Skylanders: Giants Face Off Commerical, Hot Head's line "Chilax, Pop Fizz, the Giants got your back" was replaced with "I'll melt his face off".
- It is likely that in the commercials, Hot Head is voiced by Tom Kenny due to him sounding like Scoutmaster Lumpus from Camp Lazlo and Scrapper from Transformers Animated
- He and Thumpback are the only two Giants whose eyes don't light up.
