The Dragon Soldiers are dragons who aided the citizens of Warfang during the battle against Malefor's overwhelming army of Grublins, appearing only in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon.

They are mostly likely other dragons who have survived the battle over the islands when Cynder was under Malefor's control and possibly went into hiding until the events around Dawn of the Dragon. It is unknown which of the four elements (Fire, Ice, Earth, and Electricity) they possess, but they can be seen numerous times in cutscenes and gameplay in the game, assisting the inhabitants of Dragon City in battle against the Grublin army and the Golem. They soon joined the army to fight against the Destroyer and assisted in fighting against it.

• In gameplay, while Spyro and Cynder were aiding the Moles at the Ramparts, a Dragon Soldier was seen holding a seized Wyvern and slamming it against the side of the ramparts to finish it off.
