Dan Johnson was an employee of Insomniac Games who was famous for his cameos in the games. His first cameo was in Ripto's Rage, and made many more cameos afterwards, most of whom are found in the Ratchet & Clank series.

All his life, Dan has had difficulties with his legs. He died in December, 2006, at age 32. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, which was in production at the time of his death, was dedicated to him.

• In Mystic Marsh, Dan's face can be found on the coins in the fountain, if you look closely.
• In the Dino Mines, if you look at the WANTED posters, you'll notice that Dan is the wanted person
  • Also, one of the baby dragons found in this world is named Dan
  • Although not as accepted in the fan base as much, one of the Dogs in Haunted Tomb is also named Dan.
